Producing Water from Waste Gas (Oilfields, Landfills)

 Our group is working on multiple approaches to use waste natural gas from oilfields and landfills to produce water. Technical and techno-economic analysis have been conducted for the following novel approaches on waste-to-value conversion:

• Waste gas-powered reverse osmosis-based flowback water treatment for US Shale fields
  
• Landfill gas-based atmospheric water harvesting
  
• Flared gas-based atmospheric water harvesting
  
• Biomass-based atmospheric water harvesting
